LONDON-BASED BOOTERS ARRIVING FRIDAY FOR FRIENDLY



MEMBERS of the London-based Football Club led by Negrense-Scottish siblings James Jr. and Ryan Alonte Garrucho Hall  will be arriving tonight at 6:30pm at the New Bacolod–Silay Airport for a four-game friendly at the Panaad Park and Stadium in Brgy. Mansilingan, Bacolod City.

The Hall siblings are the fourth and fifth children of James Sr. and Lori, a native of Cauayan town. The family, along with their eldest son Paul (28), Maria (25) and Maggie (23), who is an actress and model in London, left the province 18 years ago after Ryan's birth but often visit their hometown during holidays. 

Meanwhile, their father, James Sr., was born in Glasgow, Scotland. He is a retired professional football coach in Scotland.

On the other hand, Negros Football League (NFL) Commissioner Warren Concepcion on Wednesday said that the foreign squad will be playing against the Norman Fegidero-mentored Bacolod United Football Club on October 24.

“It would be a great experience for the local squads to go up against a foreign team. It will help boast the players’ confidence as well as help in the development of fiootball in the province,” said the former national men’s team head coach Fegidero, who also heads the Pachanga FC in the United Football League in Manila.

On October 27, London FC will play against San Carlos City FC boasted by former national standout John Carmona followed by Sagay City FC on October 31 then the final match against a strong team from Ceres Football Club on November 3.

Earlier, Angel Verdeflor, executive assistant to the Governor for Sports, also stressed that aside from the friendly matches, the London-based team will also hold a football camp at Panaad on October 21 to November 5.*
